He has worked for the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) as Assistant Director, Licensing and Legal & Corporate Affairs. Richard has also worked as a Consultant for United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). He is currently the Acting Director General for MCAZ. He is the Chairman of the Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe (PCZ) as well as the Chairperson for the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Association of Zimbabwe. Richard is also a Council Member of the Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe. Richard is a holder of the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (cum laude)- UNISA, Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (Honours)- University of Zimbabwe. LLM (Masters degree) Corporate Law (candidate)- UNISA. Post Grad Certificate in Business Administration University of Gloustershire and MSc Financial Management-Edinburg Business School.
